This monochrome Casio G-Shock GW-5000 inherits the design DNA of the original 1983 DW-5000C and upgrades it with modern radio-controlled solar technology. It recreates the iconic first-generation details, including the heavy metal case, screw-back, and classic face design, while pursuing even greater toughness and premium feel.
The metal case and screw-back feature DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating for enhanced abrasion resistance, with a mirror-finished screw-back for a refined appearance. Key resin parts such as bezel and band use biomass plastic to help reduce environmental impact. Together with shock resistance, 20-bar water resistance, Tough Solar charging, and multi-band radio time calibration for Japan, North America, Europe, and China, this model delivers reliable performance for global travel and everyday wear.
