A tournament-style chess set designed for learners and competitive play, compliant with FIDE standards and recognized as official equipment by the Japan Chess Federation. This set may also be used in official Japan Chess Federation tournaments, offering a smooth playing experience with a space-saving vinyl board and stylish pieces with a satisfying, comfortable weight.
Chess board:approx. 43.8 x 43.8 cm, with approx. 50 mm squares, made of vinyl.
Chess pieces:height approx. 46-96 mm, base diameter approx. 27-37 mm, made of PS plastic, total weight for 34 pieces approx. 935 g. The pieces are packed by color in separate zip poly bags.
Included accessories:spare promotion queens, a chess rules guide prepared with cooperation from the Japan Chess Federation, and a custom paper bag for storage and transport. For frequent use, a separate velour piece bag is recommended. Compared with the light type, the difference is weight only.
