Traditionally known as mud or earth pigments, these paints were originally made using clay and soil extracted from mountains. The term “Mizuhiki” refers to the process of refining these materials with water to remove impurities and then drying them into sheets. With the addition of synthetic pigments, a wide range of colors is now available. Despite adopting new manufacturing methods, Kissho’s Mizuhiki paints maintain their traditional production techniques, offering high-quality and vibrant color options. This set includes 12 colors in approximately 20cc stick bottles.
